Contributors include changing climate and overgrown forests.
Population growth increases human ignitions.  95% of fires are started by human interaction, essentially meaning they are preventable.
We do have a strategy, we have doubled in size our people, helicopters, including Black Hawk's that have more capacity and can fly at night, camera systems throughout the state vs. what was previously look out towers.  Most fires are detected by cameras vs. phone calls.
58% of California is forested land, 40% of the entire state is public land.
Community level support included Fire Wise Community's.
Updated building codes to include community resiliency.
