Special Announcement from Shirley Paris, consulting advisor for EV Cain Service Club - Wreaths across America, occurs 3^rd Saturday of December. 800 wreaths short this year. 2400 total veterans graves in the new and old cemeteries. 2 for 1 benefit: For $17 – 2 wreaths. $34 - 3 wreaths, $5 goes back to the EV Cain Service Club which sponsors the home town heroes luncheon. Brandee Ambrosia – Liv Madsen, our current inbound exchange student, on Christmas Eve came down with appendicitis and RSV, landed in the hospital. At that time, things were not going well with her host family. In a time of crisis during the holidays, Jonathan and Liza (her first host family) rolled in to take care of her. Betty also made sure that the district RYE committee was in the loop and she visited Liv several times during the medical ordeal. Liv spent another week at the Stefani's after leaving the hospital. Chuck and Kathy van Dam from the Auburn Passport Club stepped in to host Liv for the next 3 months. Brandee acknowledged the teamwork. Kathy thanked Brandee who took her to doctor's appointments, visited her every day in the hospital and does a great job managing the exchange student program.

Chris Vaughan – Presentation from Hope Haven, wheelchairs for international children and adults. Board has approved money to purchase wheelchairs. Also having a mobility device drive: wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, knee scooters. Members will go in March or early April to Modesto to assemble the wheelchairs. More information to come. Can donate at a club meeting.

John Donlevy – Gathering Inn this Sunday 1/14 at 3 pm food prep at the shelter, 5:30 serving 150 people. Email John if available. As well as 1/30.

Jane Grundmeier (not announced at the meeting) – for an upcoming trip to Africa HEART, the team will be attending a graduation for the women in WEEP (Women's Equality and Empowerment Program). Team members are requesting donations of scarves, used or new, to be included in graduation gift bags. The scarves should be long and made of thin material, as the graduates use them to wrap their heads. Scarves may be brought to any upcoming Rotary meeting. Contact Jane for more information.

Preston Marks – Friday at Club Car for Betty's BD. Revival band will be playing n (Preston and Bob Santin).

John Donlevy – successful trip to Ensenada last week. Food distribution to over 1,000 families. Visited Genesis Diaz, summer camp visit. Dennis's BD Saturday, drinking tequilla and wine at a grand fiesta all afternoon. Will visit again next year.

Lori McIntosh – spouse on job interview, unemployed for a couple of months. (Hubby Nigel) Asking for members' positive thoughts for the interview.

Tara Cavrikas – $20 for what is happening at the Auburn School district. Organization is changing which will affect our club and our community, especially RYLA and REGAL. Asked members to pay attention to this situation; board meeting Wednesday for the school district.

Larry Hardy – "Hail to the victors" per President Rod. Happy about the Michigan game. Born in Ann Arbor. Go Blue acknowledgment for Michigan winning football championship this past weekend.
