President Carolyn has been picking on Dan Gustavson. Dan reports that the Colfax girls golf team won their championship; his daughter shot a 63. The team lost at division competition by only 5 points. Dan's daughter and a teammate qualified as individuals to go to the Masters in Stockton and Malea (daughter) shot a 72, qualifying to go to the Nor Cal Championships at Berkeley Country Club next Tuesday.
Today is Bring a Guest day. Each member at tables not having a guest/guests was fined $1.

A Confluence High School project for the past few months has been assisted by Jeff Ambrosia and Steve Grundmeier. Diamond described the project: a garden for students and the community, built by the students. Jeff A. described the project and location. Now have a design on paper and ready to build the garden: 9 garden beds in total. Need 7 more boxes. Registry on Amazon; see link below. Can donate gift card if you do not want to buy an entire box. Members pledged to donate all the needed boxes.

Bart O'Brien - Book Club (new). Volunteered to lead the book club. Sign up on clipboard. Book selected for first one is Kristin Hannah, The Women. Will meet the week of January 6th. Email to come with details.
Chris Vaughan - Multi-club grant to help the Gathering Inn. December 11th and 12th, will be at the Gathering Inn at DeWitt, assembling step up beds (like military metal-framed bunks). Will have a 1-hour instructional video online; please watch it prior to participating in assembling. “Rest to rise” is the catch phrase for the project. Sign up coming out through Club Runner.
Brandee Ambrosia - tonight at Pour Choice, second Rotaract meeting to recruit new members. Remind and invite people.
Lori McIntosh – Our logo changed on Facebook because Meta AI said we were imposters. The wheel logo, mark of excellence was the problem; all rotary clubs had to change it. Some rotary clubs were shut down on FB with no one to contact to fix it; they lost everything. Let Lori know if you do not like the new logo.
On Sunday November 24th: Lori's birthday hike, 1 pm, Canyon View near Cal Fire station.
Steve Grundmeier - Still sign-ups for Salvation Army bell ringing, December 7th and 14th. Please sign up. Blood drive Dec 11th.
Linda Maeding - sign up sheet going around for the Christmas Party. Party on December 12th, $35 can be paid by multiple methods. Please bring ribbons and garland in white, silver and gold. Also need silver and white ornaments. White screen for projector promised by Dan Gustafson.
Bill Radakovitz - A little over 1 month from now, Festival of Lights Parade. Will take place on December 7th. Sign up sheet to help is going around.
Phil Booker - Spun the wheel, $5. Steve Wardwell has had another surgery on his foot. Is home from the hospital. Bill Johnston and Phil have re-installed the ramp so Steve can get around. Phil reports that Steve's foot “keeps getting smaller”. He could use some visitors.

Guest Speaker: Giant Pumpkin Grower, Randy Warren. Current champion of ARD's Harvest Festival Giant Pumpkin Contest. Spoke about raising giant pumpkins.
