Announcements and Fun
Lori McIntosh has done a great job with social media and promotion of our activities and is our Rotarian of the Month. Congratulations Lori!
Rod Borges presented our newest Paul Harris Fellow, Gina Acia, with her framed award. Contributions were made in her name by the club members. Rod gave us a nice history of PHF program and reminded us that there are over one million Paul Harris Fellows worldwide. Some of them very famous people. Our own Gina Acia has been instrumental in so many projects and fellowship events including This Old House, Carnegie Library, Symphony Night, fellowship Friday, World Polio coordinator and so much more. Gina will be a director on the board next year. Congratulations Gina!

Halloween Fun: Chocolate covered cricket eating contest between Steve Galyardt, Betty Bennett and Bob Dunstan! Least you worry about their digestive systems, consider crickets to be a new diet food with amino acids, protein and fair-trade dark chocolate. What will President Carolyn think of next!?!
BBQ Silent Auction Item from Golden Swan was a pair of Star of David champagne glasses. Lori McIntosh was the successful bidder.
Betty Bennett announced that the Auburn Cancer Endowment Fund started by our own Virgil Traynor pays $124,000 for a researcher and has reached the $3.6 million mark.
See your email to sign up for Bell Ringing to raise money for the Salvation Army on December 7 and 14. The spots go fast so sign up soon.
Linda Maeding announced that our Rotary Christmas Party will be December 12 and circulated a sign-up sheet. Lots of fun has been planned. The food will be prepared by La Fornaretta and a gluten free option is available if you mark the box when you sign up. $35 per person through cash, check or Venmo. Bring white and silver ribbons to our meeting next week for the decorating team to use.
Good deed, Al. John Donlevy spun the wheel for anniversary wine and left it on table last week. Al took it home, drank it and it was so good he bought John a replacement!
