ANNOUNCEMENTS
Update on Rotary At Work Day this past Friday and Saturday - Brandee Ambrosia
Awesome job folks! Our Rotary at Work Day workers were spread out over 2 park sites, Ashford Park and Recreation Park. We accomplished a lot! We moved 65 yards of bark into various locations and planted 20 trees at Recreation Park. We rebuilt a shade structure and repainted two other shade structures at Ashford Dog Park. Scott headed up a sign refurbish project at Canyonview Community Center. Special mention to Mark Allen for heading up the shade structure reconstruction project. And to Jeff Ambrosia for heading up the project at Recreation Park.

Kahl Muscott/Rotary at Work Day – Thank you to Brandee Ambrosia for organizing the Rotary at Work Day, you benefitted our park patrons and you saved the Auburn Recreation District employees dozens of hours of needed repairs. Now our staff can spend that time on other things at the park and continue to serve our community.

Rotary Foundation Update – Jeff Ambrosia
President Rod set a goal to raise $20,000.00 for The Rotary Foundation during his term as President.
As of a week ago, that goal was at about $9000. Thanks to several people who recently stepped up, including John Donlevy, we now stand at $18,976!
In addition to this lofty goal, we have set a goal to achieve 100% EREY (Every Rotarian Every Year). This requires every Club member to contribute a minimum of $25.00 to The Rotary Foundation per year.
This donation can be made at a Rotary meeting through check, cash, or Venmo. Or, on the Rotary Club of Auburn’s website, auburncarotary.com you set up an annual donation. At this webpage, find Rotary Links, then click on Rotary Foundation. Follow instructions to choose which fund you would like to contribute to.
We currently have 106 members in our club, of which 52 members have made a donation to Rotary foundation for at least $25 this fiscal year. Please consider donating today!

Steve Snyder noted that while 12% of Rotarians contribute to Polio Plus Program to eradicate polio, we are close to that goal of eliminating Polio around the world.  And when that happens, The Gates Foundation has pledged to donate $100 million dollars to Rotary.

John Fink - We have members of our club who are Eligible for a Paul Harris Fellowship but have not filled out the paperwork. John Fink will contact you if you are in this category to help you to fill out a form.

President Rodney and New Members
First, our newest Blue badge member goes to Lori McIntosh!

Second, new member Kelly Cooper gave her new member Bio – Kelly is originally from Oregon then she and her family moved to California. Kelly loves living in the Auburn area along with her  14 year old daughter, who is into every sport! Kelly loves her Auburn home.
And Kelly Loves horrible dad jokes.

Noted that the Outstanding Student and Teacher Awards night is the anniversary date of when Mt St Helens erupted.

Brandee Ambrosia/Happy
$10, I am grateful for our recent trip to Portugal.
During our visit we got to spend 3 days with our former RYE exchange student Rami; she visited us in Lisbon, which was amazing!
Rami lived with us during her RYE exchange 10 years ago and it’s wonderful to see her again. Then, when we got back to California, we were able to visit with another RYE Spain student we hosted several years ago. Lifelong friendships.

Dan Gustafson/Happy
I had fun golfing with Betty, she’s as much fun as she looks!
And we also recently heard from our RYE Exchange. Jade is a student in a Hospitality Program in Paris and is doing great!

Jon Donlevy/Happy
$5. Peter Konrad showed up at the Golf game with Bloody Marias! The question is did the cocktails help or hurt Peter Konrad’s game?!

Bob Santin/Sad
$5. Bob says he had nothing to do with the Bloody Marias, but theorized they probably did help with Peter’s golf game.

RAFFLE
Nancy Bender ran the raffle – today’s pot totals $803.  No winner this week, pot rolls over and increase next week.
