Foothills Brewfest is right around the corner and we are less than 2 weeks away.  Parents of scholars, please help us to promote this event, or you could sponsor or attend… this is our second largest fundraiser.  It is May 4th – VIP Entry is at noon and General Admission is at 1:00 PM.  Our final meeting is at 5:30 on Thursday.  May the 4th be with you?!  (Jeff Ambrosia)

Welcome back Steve and Jane Grundmeier.  Steve thanked the club for their support and friends and said, it is good to be “seen” rather than “viewed”.  He also presented a flag from the Rotary Club of Nyrobi, from his trip where his heart health started to show signs of struggle.
 
Linda Maeding – a card is going around for Fred Marriam, wishing him healing and well-wishes after his recent accident.
 
Nick Willick (via President Rod) he thanked the many helpers on the Carnegie Library.
Gina Acia – She also thanked the many helpers and amazing work at the Carnegie Library.  
Thank you to all that have pitched in so far and those that continue to do so for this great project.
Scholarship Presentation:  The scholarship committee awarded $27,000 in scholarship funds to graduating seniors this year. ($20,000 from Fund C, $5,000 from the General Fund and $2000 from an anonymous donor). 24 students applied, 20 were interviewed and 12 were selected.  Selections are based on career choices – teaching, veterinary sciences, trades/vocational as well as their academic achievements and some for overcoming their hardships.  Awards ranged between $1500 and $3000 per student.

Bill Kenney, Assistant Governor for Area 5, made a special presentation of appreciation for those that have been instrumental in making the Multi-Club grant happen for our community.  Brandee Ambrosia and Cris Vaughan were both recognized for their roles in making the multi-club grant happen and for their continued effort in making it happen next year.
