Rotary across the world is losing membership. We need to figure out how to recruit and retain members
Rotary is losing membership due to deaths, burnout and impacts on personal time. We tend to have too many fundraisers and too much commitment for our discretionary time
Rotarians serve each other. We have a chance to give back to our communities and to our world.
Two factors contribute to longevity of life: A sense of belonging; a sense of purpose
Questions were asked: Does your club want to grow? Are you willing to try something new? Will your club work as a team?
Growth can be similar to crowd funding.
Those who might join Rotary want to know several things: What is my money doing? Is there fiduciary responsibility? What was the outcome of a fundraising effort?
If we can fund raise with a purpose it creates desire to help
We need to spend less time and money on fundraising and more time on doing service
We can grow our clubs by leveraging our service to attract new members who want to give something back to their communities and the world
GivingTrail.org is a plan to follow to attract membership. It’s sanctioned by Rotary. Giving Trail is a crowd funding platform created especially for nonprofits to raise money for charitable projects. Check it out! This creative model means no risk, OPM, lower costa, tax-deductible contributions, good planning, minimal time requirement and powerful messaging.
