Program
Bridget Powers introduced the guest speaker, Bob Richardson, Auburn’s City Manager. Bob hosted an extensive question and answer session but also spoke about the Co-Op events that the City of Auburn has put on over the last 2 years.

The Co-Op events were conceived as a way to introduce the city of Auburn to a targeted set of individuals and companies. The end goal was to showcase what our community had to offer as a place to relocate and perhaps start new businesses in.

The targeted demographic were individuals in the age range of 25-45 with strong technical educational backgrounds. Bob and his team including Mora Rowe,  targeted social media sites to promote the Co-Op events with the objective of bringing “influencers”, and their “followers”, to Auburn Co-Op events.  The Event, in turn, would highlight the business and personal opportunities of our area.

By one measurement there were over 3 million messages sent over social media about the Co-Op events and the community of Auburn.

Bob and his team are working on a follow-on initiative to promote business growth which will be announced soon.

Great work Bob and Team !!

President Kahl asked what month and year was California admitted as a State?

The guess was close to the correct answer but missed the month. The correct answer is September 1850, not January 1850. Nice try folks !!
