Rotary giving on steroids...

The Rotary Club of Auburn did an amazing job with the Rotary BBQ and we have determined that we have $30,000 in funds to distribute back into our community, which is in addition to the already allocated giving. This giving opportunity is absolutely amazing and we want to make sure that our entire club gets to participate in this process.

You are awesome and we want you to help decide where our Rotary Club will put our money!

1)  We need your suggestions for beneficiaries by Thursday, January 12th.

  • Please provide a 100-word description of a local organization or program that you would like for us to consider as a beneficiary of a portion of these funds. (approximately $3,000 - $7,000).
  • Please also provide a graphic and a website or contact information.
*before doing this leg-work, check with Brandee to see if your nomination has already been nominated for consideration. See below, what organizations are already up for consideration.

2)  The “Rotary Giving Advisory Committee” will evaluate the complete pool of nominated beneficiaries to determine a final list of 10-12 to be considered by the entire club at the “Rotary Giving Assembly” on January 24th.

3)  January 24th – Rotary Giving Assembly (finalists will be considered)

  • You will be presented the 10-12 potential beneficiaries at this Giving Assembly at the January 24th meeting.
  • The program for the meeting on January 24th will be dedicated to learning more about the nominated beneficiaries and each of you will be given token dollars to put as votes toward the organizations of your personal choice.
  • Members will be able to advocate and share their ideas on why we should support specific organizations, but the total votes will ultimately guide our club’s decisions.
  • Based on the votes, The Rotary Giving Advisory Committee will do the final determination on giving to the top 5-7 charities.

Contact Brandee at brandee.ambrosia@gmail.com or call 916-316-2151 with your nominations by January 12th or for any questions in the meantime.

The following is an introductory list of potential beneficiaries for "Rotary Giving 2023".

*This list is not intended to sway or advocate, it is simply a preliminary and introductory list of nominations with the expectation that others will be added.  Again, contact Brandee if you have any questions.
(approximately 25 of the 100-word descriptions are viewed in this list. Additional nominations from you will require 100 words to be considered)
