Paul Harris Award - Garrett Konrad
Peter Konrad presented a Paul Harris award to fellow Rotarian, son and business partner, Garrett Konrad. Peter noted that Garrett has served as President of his own Rotary Club; he generously supports countless community events; he is active in his church; and he is an amazing father all the while doing his part of running their business, IFC. Garrett is the epitome of the ideals emulated by Paul Harris, thus this deserving recognition.
Sage had an amazing year in Denmark! She shared a slideshow about her host families, her friends and some of her travels. Her closest friend will be visiting her here in Auburn at Christmas time. Sage is starting her Senior year at Placer and plans to return to Denmark to live someday.
Our very own, Peter Konrad took time out of his day to share with us a presentation about personal paradigms and the conscious and subconscious mind. He was prepared to share with us and present to us examples and tools that could have been useful for reframing our individual thinking as well as our perceptions of ourselves and those around us. Had we had time to hear and experience his presentation, we all could have left the meeting with some tools to possibly be more productive and positive in how we walk through our lives. However, we missed out, because we ran out of time.
Peter deserves an apology for wasting his effort and his time that was intended for our benefit. This bulletin editor, personally looks forward to learning more from Peter's presentation when he presents to Leadership Auburn this Fall; hopefully scheduling will allow for his full presentation.
In the meantime, thanks for you effort Peter, we're sorry that today's scheduling didn't go as planned.
Prospective member notification: The Board voted to approve Pam Frazier for prospective membership to our club. Pam is a member of the Rotary Sunset Club and their immediate past President. Pam is being sponsored by Sam Frazier.
