Quiet Rotarian Award - 
Kim McClintock was awarded for her many efforts in support of our Rotary Club.  Kim has been co-chair of the silent auction and raffle at the annual BBQ for the past 3 years.  She is also serves on the membership committee and as our club secretary.  Kim is also a Paul Harris Fellow and always steps forward to help out with various projects and committees.
 
Dream-Maker Award
Bobbi Allen is a dedicated Rotarian that has been involved with our club for over eight years.  She serves on membership committee and also serves on a sub-committee for the BBQ where she has been responsible for desserts and coffee.  Bobbi also co-chairs the annual Stand-Up Placer Christmas Dinner and collects presents for that event. Last year, Bobbi traveled to Kenya to provide support to ther HEART program which serves women afflicted with HIV and plans to return again this year.  Bobbi is a Paul Harris Fellow, Major Donor, and was recently included in the Jansen Society member.

Betty Bennett – Saturday night they cashed in on the donated pool party from Rod and Lori Tompkins.Great event!
 
Bill Radakovitz – his wife, Nancy fell on a step resulting in a trip to the ER. Last week, she fell again while golfing, resulting in another trip to the ER. Damaged Goods!
 
Al Lombardo – was doing some work around his house to realize that he had been stepping right over a rattle snake. Fortunately he was not struck and he was able to dispose of the snake.

Announcements
We had the privilege of having District Governor, Larry Harvey as our speaker and program for today's meeting.
 
Plastic Recycling achieved the 1000 pound goal several months ago, and earned another bench. Please email Geoff Davis with suggestions on where to put the new bench.
 
Aug 21 – 10:30 and 12:30 we're planning a Empire Mine tour. An email with details to follow. – Al Lombardo
 
BBQ tickets have been distributed. Everybody has 8 tickets to sell to help contribute to this great fundraiser. $40 per person – Kid tickets are $20.  If you didn't get your tickets - talk to Patty Park
 
Wednesday, Aug 13th, OTP fundraiser for HEART and the medical team going to Africa.  Talk to Bill Johnston for more information about this great cause.
 
The Roseville Club is having a Tee Off  (Golf Tournament – August 8th, supporting Three Strands and Stand UP Placer to combat human trafficking. Catherine McGregor has more information.
 
BBQ Meeting – August 9th at 5:00 PM at Gold Rush Chevrolet's conference room. We have lots of help so far, but more are welcome!

New Member Induction - Stephen Hart

Captain Stephen is an officer of the Salvation Army, serving with his wife, Faith Hart for the last 8 years.  Steve grew up in Arizona and attended Grand Canyon University with a degree in Christian Studies. Both, Stephen and Faith are pastors, social workers, emergency disaster responders and strive to preach the gospel of Christ and meet human needs in his name, without discrimination.

Jorge "George" was born and raised in Auburn. He is a proud alumni of Placer High School, Sierra College, and Chico State.  Jorge is a owner of Maldonado Pro Wash, a company that provides professional cleaning of windows, gutters, and solar panels.  In his free time, Jorge likes to work out, read and learning to play golf and the guitar. 
Jorge is excited to join Rotary with a goal of serving his community as well as personal growth.
