DESCRIPTION:Fun Committee strikes again!  Hike with “The Mayor” Sandy 
 Amara Join us on Saturday\, October 22nd for an enjoyable 3.0 mile hike on
  the Quarry Hiking Trail that begins just past the American River Confluen
 ce and will take us on a picturesque hike along the middle fork as it para
 llels Highway 49.  The terrain is mostly flat with relatively easy walkab
 ility.  There are many interesting things to see and experience along the
  way.  Auburn’s Mayor Sandy Amara and Auburn Rotary’s own Docent Gary
  Ransom will be leading and guiding us along our hike and imparting their 
 knowledge of the trail and the history of the area. Mayor Amara has been h
 iking the Canyon for years and is very knowledgeable about the area.  The
  same goes for Gary Ransom.  This hike should be especially worthwhile. W
 e plan to congregate at Auburn City Hall around 8:30 AM.  There is plenty
  of parking in the lot behind City Hall.  Mayor Amara is making arrangeme
 nts with the City for a bus to transport us to the trailhead and to return
  us back to City Hall once our hike is completed.  The schedule will be f
 or the bus to depart City Hall at 9:00 AM\, drop us off at the trailhead\,
  and will pick us up at 11:30 AM to return us to City Hall. WE DEFINITELY 
 NEED A HEAD COUNT OF ALL WHO ARE COMING SO WE KNOW IF AN ADDITIONAL BUS IS
  NEEDED. After the hike we plan to gather for an enjoyable lunch and a rel
 axing time as we continue our fellowship. WE WILL ALSO NEED TO KNOW HOW MA
 NY WILL BE JOINING THE LUNCH SO THAT APPROPRIATE ARRANGEMENTS CAN BE MADE
